Duck and Helmet Crossbow and Arrow

Initial Sketches for Charactors

My charactors are the fire-breathing duck, the crossbow (1st person hunter), and (if we have the time) Nessy the underwater retriever.

Ducks: The Flaming Ducks come from a region known as the Quackmire. They enjoy flying through villages burning them down with their fiery breath. The villagers may have hired a hunter to journey into the mire to kill the ducks, but these ducks have some surprises hidden beneath their wings (or should I say helmet).

The Hunter (crossbow): a shadowy anonymous androgynous figure that moves gracefully with a crossbow. You never actually get to see the hunter because you become the hunter as the first person player so your main view is from behind the crossbow.

Nessy: Nessy is the underwater retriever. Nessy’s mother was of the breed of Loch Ness monsters located in Scotland, but Nessy’s father was a rather average and friendly golden retriever. So while Nessy contains the capability of swimming under water, she also contains a strange affinity for fetching dead ducks for the hunter and laughing when the hunter misses a shot.

THE GAME

Long long ago in a land far far away there was a pleasant peasant town. One dark day some fire-breathing ducks with helmets attacked the village and burnt it down. The villagers were in woe until one hopeful day when a stranger with a crossbow appeared. The hunter felt pity for the peasants and pledged to avenge and protect the town by hunting down the evil ducks roosting in a nearby quackmire. The hunter also knew that evil ducks taste best roasted.
